CAUTION: A very common cause of fires in PV systems is the use of solar connectors from different manufacturers. Connectors from different sources have different parameters – a poor match leads to the generation of resistances, which can result in a temperature increase that may cause an installation fire. In Europe, according to IEC 62548 and IEC 60364-7-712:2017, connecting DC connectors from different manufacturers is not permitted. The use of connectors and components from companies other than those recommended by Doktorvolt® at the factory is not allowed. To prevent accidents and ensure the safety of our customers, we include a set of solar connectors (4x female and 4x male) with the switchgear.
