A surge arrester<\/strong> is a device that protects against transient overvoltages by limiting the frequency and duration of the follow-current. These devices are also known as lightning arresters, surge protectors or varistors. Surge arresters protect equipment connected to the mains and are also an essential component in the protection of solar installations.<\/span><\/p>\n

This device combines two types of protectors<\/strong>: Type 1 (T1), which handles very high direct surges, and Type 2 (T2), which is designed to protect against indirect or switching surges.<\/span><\/p>\n
