WARNING! A very common cause of PV installation fires is the use of solar connectors from different manufacturers. Connectors from different sources have different parameters—an improper fit generates resistance, resulting in an increase in temperature that may cause an installation fire. In Europe, the IEC 62548 and IEC 60364-7-712:2017 standards do not permit the connection of DC connectors from different manufacturers. The use of connectors and components from companies other than those recommended by Doktorvolt® is prohibited. To prevent accidents and ensure the safety of our customers, we include a set of solar connectors with the distribution board (4x female and 4x male).
